FAQs

Question: What sizes of tables to do you carry?

Answer: We carry tables as small as 9 foot, all the way up to 22 foot. Sizing options depend on the type of shuffleboard table you are purchasing. Many of our tables come in either 9', 12', 14', 16', 18', 20', or 22' lengths, while some specialty tables come in just one size.

Question: What is the regulation size for a shuffleboard table?

Answer: In professional shuffleboard tournaments, shuffleboard tables are 22 feet long and 20 inches wide. However, a tabletop shuffleboard game can be played on any sized table, 9 feet to 22 feet long. Typically, the longer the table, the more challenging the game.

Question: Do I have enough room in my home for a shuffleboard table?

Answer: To find out if you have enough room for a shuffleboard table, measure the length of the space you are planning on putting it in. Typically, you want to make sure that you have at least two feet of space on each end of the table in order for players to play comfortably and effectively. So, if you have a room that is at least 13 feet long, you can fit a 9 foot shuffleboard table. Remember, the shuffleboard table can be placed against the wall, saving space for the width of the table.

Question: What is shuffleboard wax? Is it necessary?

Answer: Shuffleboard wax (also called sand, powder, dust, etc.) isn't actually a wax at all. It is a powder made from tiny silicone beads and ground corn, and it is very necessary for playing tabletop shuffleboard. The wax acts as a barrier between the puck and the table, protecting the finish of your table and allowing the puck to glide easily across the board.

Question: How do I maintain my shuffleboard table?

Answer: The most basic step in shuffleboard maintenance is making sure to use shuffleboard wax before play, to not only give you a smoother game, but also to protect the surface of your table from puck friction. We also recommend cleaning the board about once a month with either special liquid cleaner polish, or a water and vinegar blend, followed by a liquid wax application. This will help keep your table scratch and ding free. We also suggest spraying your table with a silicone spray and buffing before play to give you the smoothest playing surface. You also will want to use a climate adjuster about once a month to check how level your playing surface is, and adjust it as necessary.
